The sterility of the dentist’s instruments is a basic requirement as we treat several patients a day in our dentistry. The most frequently used tools such as the mirror, the pincer or the probe are getting in contact with the oral tissue (mucous membrane) and generating high probability to transfer diseases or bacteria from one patient to another. Many dentistry only put these dental hand instruments (and even the drill heads) to the quick disinfecter but they don’t sterilize them. In the NiCo Dental dentistry all tools that has got in contact with the oral tissue will be sterilized in the autoclave in a special package. The autoclave is a sterilization box which is using distilled water on a high pressure and high temperature to create steam that kills all the viruses and bacteria on the instruments. In addition to the sterilization, we use A-dec dental chairs which are not using the main water line to cool the drill heads, but their own container, that we fill up with distilled, sterile water prior to each treatment, therefore minimizing the chance of an oral infection and making the dental treatment a lot safer. The completely sterile packages are opened just before we start the treatment, in front of the patient. The air contamination is also controlled by regular cleaning and ventilation. Anionic lights have been installed in the dentist’s offices that are neutralizing the electro-smog (created by the computers and the electronic equipment) and the excreta (found in the blood) and are strengthening the immune system, disinfecting, neutralizing odours and cleaning the air in the office.
