Root-canal filling (1-3 canals)
The root canal treatment is a process with several steps in which the final phase is filling the root. With this step the root gets hermetically sealed towards both the bone and the crown part of the tooth. We use a very mouldable material to do this, which can be pressed well to the wall of the root and fills all the gaps perfectly when it is heated up. The aim of root filling is to seal the root perfectly from bacteria. The Hero Shaper stretching system speeds up the process, giving extra help in stretching, opening and reaming even the most curved root canals, thus guaranteeing the correct root canal treatment and most importantly increasing the lifetime of the tooth. The heating phase is done by the machine called Termique from Parkell. Its end can be inserted into the canal where it heats up the filling, making it more resistant.
Root-canal cleaning with laser
After the painless removal of the nerve fiber it is necessary to clean out and clear the canal from bacteria. Since the bacteria that sensitive to oxygene are dominant in the mouth, therefore the soft laser is an optimal solution to kill them thus sterilising the canal. The laser releases ozone and the fiber carries it in a high concentration precisely there where it’s needed. The bacteria used to the oxygen-free enviroment perish, the canal can be disinfected swiftly and the filling can be made in quickly. The laser sterilisation is recommended for a root canal treatment.
Old root-canal filling removal
In some cases it may be necessary to remove the old root filling to be able to heal the inflammation in the bone or simply the surface infected root needs to be replaced. We drill the root filling by special driller (designed for this purpose) and filling-softener substance, then broaden the remaining canal, sterilize it with laser, medicate it and restart the root canal treatment. The old root filling may be seen as a nerve which needs to be treated as a normal root canal: removal, dilatation, sterilisation, medication and filling.
