Tooth extraction simple
If the tooth or the the periodontium is already much destroyed that it cannot be saved, the problem can be solved only by tooth extraction in order to stop the pain. We call it simple tooth extraction if the crown part of the tooth is held, or the root is so loose that the tooth can be pulled out easily.
Tooth extraction surgery A (Level 1.)
If the crown part of the tooth is so much destroyed that the dentist cannot get hold of the tooth using the appropriate tools, then extra opening methods need to be done after which the root or the tooth is accessible and can be pulled out. This is the Level 1 surgery intervention (tooth extraction). There is no need to stitch the gum after this, there is no bone loss, and the patient has no discomfort after the treatment.
Tooth extraction surgery B (Level 2.)
If we are facing with a removal of a special tooth, or if it hasn’t even grown out yet (it’s still under the gum in the bone) then a Level 2 surgery needs to be done. It means bone-removal as well as the removal of the tooth. After the removal the gum needs to be stitched and because the involvement of the bone the affected area might get swollen. The patients also needs to take antibiotics, however the pain can be relieved quickly and effectively even with homeopathy methods.
Root-apex resection
It is applicabe to those teeth with inflamed root end(s). If the tooth is in an important zone in the mouth or functioning as a pillar or if the patient insists to save it then the problem can be solved by chunking the root, but only a few teeth are suitable for this process. If there is an option and the patient agrees then the inflamed area gets removed through a tiny cut and the root gets hermetically filled to seal it from bacterias’ access.
