Crown removal
The first step in replacing ald and/or poorly sealing bridges, crowns is to remove them from the teeth. Most often this happens by cutting through the ceramics and the metal underneath and then remove (pinch) them from the pillar teeth. If the dental work is already lose and removable easily, it can be “knocked” down smoothly by the appropriate tool.
Post – Core
We use a post – core structure in case of cracked, root canal treated teeth. The aim is to strengthen the teeth, make them more resilient and to create a more secure anchorage to the crown. Post can be created only to hold crowns, as it is unable to hold an inlay or a filling. The process of the treatment: the root filling gets removed by the appropriate drill from the canal and then it gets replaced by the carbon fibre or metal post, which is glued into its place. The carbon fibre is a better choice because its greater flexibility and its less splitting effect to the root than the metal one. Our recommendation is the carbon fibre one.
Temporary crown
If the patients require, we can create temporary crown(s)/bridge to cover the stump(s) while the permanent crown(s)/bridge get ready. This helps the patients mentally and psychologically as they don’t have to hide their smile and the temporary crown even protects the tooth from being sensitive to acidic/hot/cold impacts. This type of crown is getting made by the dentist right after the grinding, so the patients can leave the dentistry wearing their temporary crowns.
