The implantology started a new era in the dentistry, allowing replacing the teeth with a fixed implant if there is sufficient bone available for the implantologist as a base for the implant. Nobel Active implant are small – usually titanium or zirconium – screws that function as dental roots and usually ceramic prosthesis will be built on them after the ossification. Nobel Active implants acquired worldwide reputation as their application is about 99% successful. Based on our experience, we can say that they are one of the best implants of the world, both in ossification rate and in grandeur of their surgical body structure. Nobel Active implant is a one piece implant, that can be implanted in the first surgical stage and has been primarily designed for use in the aesthetic zone. It can be implanted right after the tooth extraction, keeping the original form of the gum and the height and width of the bone. Pink aesthetic means keeping the symmetry of the soft parts. In the last few years more and more emphasis is placed on the beauty of the oral cavity as a unity. Recently not only the crown needs to be pretty, but it has to be harmonised to its environment (e.g. it has to match in colour and in shape to the teeth around it and even the gum needs to be symmetric on its both sides). It is not only the gum that could cause problem, but the bone can collapse. After the tooth extraction the root will be missing as well, and eventually the bone literally collapses and there seems to be a hole where the root was. This doesn’t cause psychological problems in many cases, but could be very annoying if it is the case with a front tooth. If we left the extraction area to be healed and later we want to implant, then it will be very time-consuming to restore the original bone width and setting the right gum height. This why one piece implants have been invented as they can be implanted right after the extraction, preserving the natural structure of the soft and hard tissue around the tooth. If you intend to have a tooth extraction, please ask for your dentist’s advice to discuss your expectations in detail, especially if pink aesthetics are important for you! A temporary crown can be placed by a single ‘click’ on the Nobel Active One-piece implant immediately after the surgery and it is already included in the factory package. After three months ossification the final crown can be applied on the implant and the imprint can be taken in the surgical phase, however we usually take it after the three months healing time as the gum is cured for that time and it is easier to create perfect contact between the final crown and the soft parts. A few weeks after the implantation the connection between the gum and the neck of the implant is developed well, that ensures the sterile conditions for the ossification (there is no second phase when the adhesion of the gum is disturbed). Beautiful, flawless connection can be established between the gum and the edge of the crown. Please see the comparison table of implant types at our reception.
Nobel Active implant metal-ceramic crown
The last phase – as it is with all the implants – is giving the final touch, creating the look of the replacement. This crown will be made based on an imprint, but with the one-piece implant a simple silicon imprint is taken (it doesn’t require a complicated imprint-taking procedure as two-piece implants). The imprint-cap and the abutment are included in the package, so the final crown can be prepared very quickly. This may be a metal-ceramic crown, but with a one-piece implant we recommend zirconium crown since it looks much nicer and its quality is much better as well.
