Noritake porcelain crown
Unlike the classic crowns, the fully aesthetic porcelain crowns don’t contain any metal, therefore less resistant against breaking but they are aesthetically perfect. The porcelain layers let light through like natural teeth, this why they seem to be absolutely healthy natural teeth. We recommend using Noritake crowns for front teeth only, mostly as single ones. This type of crown requires the least grinding of tooth (0.2-0.5mm) and still giving perfect look. It is enough to grind a little bit of the enamel, ensuring a higher grip between the enamel and the porcelain. The enamel can be reproduced accurately, the crown seems to be a completely intact tooth. It won’t cause metal allergy or formation of grey gum (not even years after its application). Minor disadvantage however that without a metal frame it is less resistant against breaking, so we don’t recommend it for those who do boxing/martial arts/etc. With full ceramic crowns only a shoulder preparation can be applied. This is a thin rim that the crown “sits” onto, thus protecting the gum and ensuring the easy cleaning. The crown made from Noritake ceramic has the perfect aesthetics, its hardness is very similar to the natural tooth, its abrasion is about the same as well, only a bit more rigid so it is easier to break. Putting it on a root canal treated tooth (if it was already discoloured) the greyish colour can be seen through the thin layer of ceramic. During its preparation time (about a week) temporary crowns can be fitted on the stumps. . The comparison table of metal-free ceramic crowns is available at the reception.
Noritake porcelain veneer
You can read about the properties of Noritake material at the Noritake full porcelain crown, in this chapter we try to give more detailed explanation of the concept of a veneer. We create Noritake veneer exclusively onto those front teeth thats colour or shape is not comfortable for the patients and/or there are gaps in between them and they want to put an end of this problem. The teeth to create veneer for are usually absolutely healthy/intact or only a small filling was applied on them earlier. The preparation technique will affect only the surface of the tooth, only 0.2-0.5mm needed to be grinded and shortened. The veneer needs to sit onto a shoulder-prepared tooth by using a special adhesive thus restoring the shape, size and colour of the original tooth. The veneer is created in a week time, while we can apply a temporary veneer if needed. We recommend the Noritake veneers for young people, to conceal congenital patches, enamel-defects, distorted forms. Self-confidence can be easily build up again, using veneers, so the patients don’t have to feel ashamed about their teeth problems. We can create perfect, beautiful teeth from Noritake ceramics to create a perfect smile. The comparison table of metal-free ceramic crowns is available at the reception.
